A Glimpse of Myself

For the past couple of weeks I have actually felt like myself again. I think this is my favorite part of the pregnancy so far. I have had so much energy to do things. I've been more productive these past two weeks than I was the first 6 months. Along with all the energy is the lack of desire to sit and watch TV. I never was much of a TV person before being pregnant. When we moved in October we switched to a cheaper internet provider and received 6 months of Hulu Plus for free . . . well I enjoyed having something to watch when I was sick and couldn't do much. Now I would rather be doing other things.

On the flip side I have probably been over doing it a little bit . . . Moving furniture for example should not be on the list of things I do while over 6 months pregnant, but I assure you it was simple easy moving. No heaving lifting or pushing for that matter. I have been doing baby laundry and cleaning more frequently. I have baked and cooked A LOT more lately.
Check out these puppies I made for the super bowl party: (thank you Pinterest)

oh and don't forget these:

Yes yes, I know they look amazing. They were/are amazing! They looked just as awesome as the picture too! There were so many left over so I shared them with the office ladies at work. Needless to say, I'm their favorite TSS now.

I really over did it super bowl weekend. I made 8 different things for the party, cleaned a lot at the apartment, and set up our living room after the new couches came. It was a lot for pregnant little me! I've been equally busy this week working, cleaning, and nesting.

Back to pregnant for a second, I had my glucose tolerance test today. EW. Had to drink this lemon lime glucose nasty. Baby woke up right away and beat the snot out of me. It was literally punching me in the butt . . . from the inside. Such an odd sensation. Baby has been very active this week. Not sure if it's because I'm more active or just because of normal development. Little one responds to light now. Little one also kicks my right rib cage. It's usually more uncomfortable than painful.

Hubby and I see very little of each other. I miss him like crazy. We've been doing really well lately. There has been a lot of laughter in our home lately. Safe to say every day we get to giggling either over something the kittens do or something dumb one of us says. I love it. I love laughing with him. He makes me so happy. It's great that we have been so happy lately. There is a lot going on in our lives and some of it is deserving of tears instead of laughter. It's just nice to see us handling things so well when that hasn't always been the case. God has truly blessed me with a wonderful husband. God has blessed us so much in our marriage. Yay.

Sigh. It feels good to feel like myself again. I'll be sad to see this go as I continue to get fat and then have to birth this baby. I'm sure I'll be more like a monster then. Until then, enjoy!
