Baby Stuff!!

My tummy is full of Juicy Pear water ice from Rita's. I love that place, and it's half a mile down the road :). Yay spring! Free water ice on Tuesday!!!

Some baby stuff came today :) and I was not expecting it because I hadn't even received confirmation that it had shipped. Fast service, Planet Wise!

From Left: Wet bag (supposed to fit 8-10 diapers) for when we travel and visit people. Nursing cover, which my cat is now cleaning himself on. Yum . . . And the diaper pail liner. The colors are much brighter than this photo shows. If the first and last items don't make sense to you, we are using cloth diapers. Bought these items from Planet Wise. The bag is supposedly leak and odor free. Hopefully that works. I've heard excellent things about their products so I'm not worried. The diaper pail is supposed to do the same, but of course it seals via lid of diaper pail so I'm sure not all odors will be blocked. All washable and reusable! Recycle :)

My mother purchased our diapers for us and we received them at our baby shower last weekend. We are using the Econombum and Flip systems. We have little diapers for when the baby is first born, and they are supposed to fall below the cord so hopefully we can use them right away. I'm very happy with the quality of the diapers and covers. I have used Econobum when babysitting for a friend, so I know I like them. The Flip system seems just as easy if not easier because of the velcro closure. They have already been washed several times and look great! I'm soooooo excited about using diapers! I know that will probably wear off rather quickly, but in the mean time I'll keep smiling.

Anywho . . .

The crib is coming along. My daddy is making it :) and probably working on it as I type. He's been working hard! My mother is making all the bedding and other accessories for the nursery. So far she has finished the bumper pads, valance, and a wall hanging.
She quilted it and I think it looks amazing!!! She is still going to make a crib blanket, animals to fasten the bumpers to the crib, and pillow covers for some throw pillows to go on the full size bed in the nursery. She's fantastic.

I must go vacuum before a friend gets here. Then I will be shopping for some comfier bottoms and definitely some more baby items. :) I can't help myself.
