"Have you felt the baby yet?"

YIKES! STOP MOVING, CHILD!!!

Last Friday my midwife asked me if I had felt the baby yet . . . felt the baby?! This baby never stops moving! I can't imagine having not felt the baby by 27 weeks. I was feeling the baby at like 19 weeks. Now the baby spins around and upside down and tries to break free. I can sit and watch the baby change positions a million times. It's like me when I got to bed. It takes me forever to find that perfect spot so I keep shifting and readjusting my pillow. The only differences is I'm not inside someone!

I enjoy feeling the baby move, but when it won't settle down I get queasy and just uncomfortable. When I go a day without feeling it much I worry, and then the following day I'll regret not cherishing those moments of stillness.

Yes we are 27 weeks on Sunday. :) Hello, trimester three! Goodbye, comfort. The days of increased back pain and more frequent leg cramps have begun. I need more assistance getting up from certain furniture, and I avoid trips to the ground whenever possible. The one teacher I work with told her kids never to let me pick something up from the floor. I laughed, but I secretly appreciate it. She wasn't there today, but one of her students picked up my pen for me when I dropped it. It was so cute. "Never let a pregnant lady bend over!"

Earlier this morning I was asked by a third grader if my baby would come out naked. Baby factory only, I promise!

Now I am ignoring the fact that there are clothes that need to come out of the dryer and more that need to go in it. Since being home from work today I have: played Yahtzee while watching an old episode of House, took a nap, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the kitchen (my sinks looks spectacular), cleaned crap and vomit off the floor (thanks kitties!), done 2 loads of laundry so far, folded another, hung curtains, and eaten dinner. I still plan on doing more laundry. Why do we put laundry off for so long? The worst part is having to fold it all on the same day . . . or not fold it . . . depends on my mood. I also need to pick up little things around the apartment. I'm one of those people that keeps up with dishes during the week, but leaves everything else for the weekend. Needless to say, this place is a mess.

And now I've rambled on about my incredibly boring life for far too long. I have enjoyed the down time, but now I must roll myself off the couch. The poor kitties just fell asleep next to me too, and I'm sure they will feel the need to wake up and follow me around while I clean. Bailey entertained me by scaling the blinds in the living room earlier this evening while I was cleaning in the kitchen. Yes, very entertaining . . . little stinker.

Baby shower tomorrow afternoon :) can't wait!
