November is fast approaching, and I'm forced to think seriously about what we need for Baby G. Obviously we need more money, lol. No, but really, we need more money.

Anywhoooo . . . Here's my NEED list:
WANT: stroller,
My progress thus far,
My aunt is handing down a crib that will need some adjustments to bring it up to standards. I got a sling for free (although it hasn't arrived yet . . .). I made the decor, so no big deal to do that when the new baby comes. If it is a girl even easier because I can use fabric I already have.

As for the rest, I'm working on it. Going to get another mattress like the one we have. Making new girl bedding for Libby, so we can keep the baby bedding neutral. I just need to make a skirt and blanket. I might do a sham for when she has a pillow someday and possibly bumpers.

Thinking something like this. The colors even match our nursery perfectly! |
One of these days I will go through our tote of NB/0-3mon clothes and figure out what we need on hand before baby comes. Probably not much . . . the down side is that Libby received a lot of summer clothes, so if the baby is a girl we will need some long sleeves and leggings to layer with the things we already have. Good thing I'm into sewing now! I can just make the baby clothes!

Speaking of which . . . bought some flannel to make pajamas for Libby for the upcoming cold weather seasons. |
I'm researching car seats, and eventually will just have to pick one! We just want an umbrella stroller to have on hand for Libby, so expecting to find one cheap at a yard sale this summer. Waiting for diaper covers to go on sale again (hope they do) so I can buy a bunch more and save $. I am going to see if I can snatch any second hand stuff up though. And eventually I will stock back up on bags for milk and nursing pads!
When the baby comes we will probably have a meet the baby sprinkle. Say what?
A sprinkle! It's a cute idea I came across during my pinning. When you have a second baby you don't necessarily need a lot, so you don't need a full shower. Just a sprinkle! How cute! It will be especially nice to have if the baby is a boy, then people can sprinkle us with boy clothes! Not to mention, it is a great way to introduce the baby to our incredibly large extended family.
Doesn't seem like a lot to do, and it really isn't. I need to get on with making the baby bedding, because I will quickly get busy with my sister's wedding and work in the fall. The buying of the things will just happen as our budget allows it and as I find great deals. Because I WILL find great deals . . .
Libby is taking a fabulous nap, and I have probably used most of my time here . . . I am going to attempt to do something productive before she wakes up.
OOOOOOOO Remodel update!! I will actually be posting finished product photos this month. The shelving I've been waiting for is going to be finished by the end of next week! So I can finally take photos and call it done! Which means I have some very important decorating to do . . .
Tata for now . . . next post will probably be to share some of my upcycled sewing projects! I'm getting so crafty . . . (or at least my ideas are . . . we'll see about my skills.)
