Love Hate

I go back and forth on whether or not I want to blog, which is why there are months at a time when I don't blog and then a random week of blogging regularly. It's a love hate relationship.

From time to time I browse blogs looking for confirmation that I'm doing something right or I'm not the only one out there in my situation. What I've come to realize is that confirmation doesn't change anything. Then there are the times when I find out I'm doing something that seems wrong or not the norm. After that happens I have to reassure myself that there are several right ways to do some things and finding what works for me is not necessarily a bad thing. So, then I hate blogs.

Well, I just got done reading a blog by a stay at home mom and now I feel like I need to be doing more than I am with Libby. I also don't feel like reading any blogs for a while. :) Why am I blogging then? Well to tell the world of blog browsers, because obviously this is important information and someone else out there who needs to know they aren't alone with similar feelings just got confirmation. Hmm . . .

Since I just read about other babies and where they are at in their joyful days of development and change, so I'm going to share how Libby is doing!

Libby is 6 1/2 months now. She is getting very close to sitting on her own. She loves to bounce, and has learned how to use her jump up. Her favorite toys are balls, spoons, crinkly toys, and her toes. :) She wants cell phones, remotes, and computers. She still can't stand having her arms put through sleeves, yay coat wearing weather! Cloth diapering is still enjoyable. I'm so glad we decided to do it. Solid poops are fun! I spend more quality time swishing out diapers in the toilet than I would like to, but still prefer it to disposable diapers. Her first tooth is going to make its appearance soon. We can see it just under the surface. Poor thing.
We (my mom and I) are making her baby food and saving soooo much money. Fruits and veggies she has had: peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes (made with breast milk), corn, beets, pears, bananas, and apples. So far she likes everything, especially fruit. She prefers oatmeal to rice cereal, but loves both. She nurses 2 or 3 times in the morning, and then has cereal before her morning nap. When I'm not working she nurses in the afternoon and has solids again at dinner time. She usually has cereal before bed, but sometimes on days I work we skip that because I need her to nurse more. I always nurse her before putting her to bed though.
She usually takes 2 good naps and 1 short nap a day. Working on making it 2 really good naps, but not pushing that yet. She is usually ready for bed by 9/9:30 sometimes needing a "dream feeding" around 11. She usually wakes up 7:30/8. When her dad works morning she wakes up around 6 and goes back to bed for a couple hours. Then she is ready for a nap by 10/10:30 and then naps again around 2. If she takes a good afternoon nap then she takes a short nap in the evening, otherwise it's the reverse. She has always been a good sleeper. Many people know this and I'm sure I've mentioned it before (I do enjoy bragging about it), but she has been sleeping through the night since she was 4 weeks old! When she is teething or if a day has been crazy different she might not sleep through the night, but otherwise beauty sleep is not disturbed!

Libby Lou is the sweetest thing in my world! She is the happiest baby I have ever known. No lie. I love her more and more ever day.

Yes, I am back to work . . . part time. I am working at my gram and aunt's shop and loving it. I have also relaunched my Mary Kay business. We had way too much happening when we moved and I didn't have the means to do so prior to now. I'm excited though. Have a consult request and a post Christmas party request. Yay! I miss Libby, but 2-3 days a week is good. Adult interaction is refreshing, and getting out and about gives me the motivation I needed to be more productive. The move home has been very hard, but also very good for us. We are going through a lot of changes and trials. Can't wait to be better for it. :) God is good, always.
