I just want to create a snap shot of all the things coming our way in the next month. It's kind of insane when I think about it. It all feels great though!
April 30 is our official due date, although today would be a great day to have a baby. I know my husband would agree, because then he wouldn't have to go to class. He would get to enjoy a day of labor coaching :) and pain.
May 12 my husband graduates from Evangelical with his Master in Divinity. It will be simply divine. This is such a huge accomplishment for him. I couldn't be more proud of the man for going right into a grad program and sticking with it while working his butt off to help support us! He's my hero. It will be the biggest weight off his shoulders, and for the first time since I've known him I will get to see him enjoy not being a student. It's going to be awesome! He won't have to write papers in his "spare" time. Just in time. :) Who knows what doors God will open for him in regards to ministry opportunities. We are very excited to see what comes next for him.
May 19 we venture off to the OBX with my family. My parents, siblings, grandparents, and aunt & uncle with 3 cousins will all be together for a week of fun back at "Wish You Were Here" in Corolla. We stayed there last summer, but it was just my parents and siblings. It is going to be so wonderful for the family to be together right after the baby comes. I'm ready for some awesome memories and of course some quality beach time. I love sunrise there. Cannot wait to take my baby for a walk while the sun greets us. It's going to be so fantastic.
June 9 is my baby shower up in Wellsboro for family and close friends who are still local. I'm very excited that we waited to do this after the baby comes. It will be fun to actually get gender specific gifts. Hopefully we come home with lots of clothes! (3 months and up, people!) ;)
June 26 Sean takes the youth to Creation!!! I want to go, but chances are I will not be going. If I don't go then I'll probably visit family, unless they visit me.
July is back to work for me . . . or is it? As of right now I am going to go back half-time as a TSS. But . . . if something else were to present itself that sounded more appealing I would probably take it. I'm keeping my eyes open for part time jobs that are a better fit for our schedule and more along the lines of something I actually want to be doing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE helping kids. I truly do, but the job is tiring and not quite as flexible as I would like it to be. When I go back I will probably switch counties, which definitely means new clients, new MT/BSC, . . . new everything.
I have been saying that when Sean has school behind him I will put photography on the top of my list of things I want to be doing. Well that's happening! It's 2nd on the list. I don't know exactly what I want to do. I could just start shooting and charging, but I feel like I am not educated enough to manage that on my own. I would love to find someone who would help me get my feet on the ground with that whole business . . . and I could use some formal training/education as well, especially in regards to the business end of things. I want a partner. I feel like it would be more fun that way.
Ultimately I want to stay at home with our kids as we grow our family! :) Photography would allow me to do that. The truth is in this economy I can't not make money to help out, unless God has an awesome salaried job lined up for Sean. Not saying He doesn't, but I'm not giving my two weeks notice. I'm trying to find options that are definitely manageable, yet very flexible with our needs right now. The last thing I want is to work full time and require a nanny. I don't just want to stay home, I feel called to stay home. I know that God is going to work things out for his glory, so I'm really not worried. I'm just curious as to how it will all play out.
1st on my list, however, . . . I'm a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant now! WHAT?!?! I literally just purchased my starter kit. It has been something I've been thinking about for a couple months since my friend Megan started. I was talking to her rep on the phone while getting signed up for a $100 give away contest, and she made some rather compelling points for why to sign up and start learning now even if I don't start my business for another month or so. So I did. Why wait when I have all this free time to be learning? So!!! After we get into a routine schedule, oh say June-July ish, I will be actively running my part time Mary Kay business!!! I'm soooo excited about it. I have always worn their products, (always loved them too!)and I'm super excited to share it with people! Start looking at your calendars ladies, and ask your friends to clear some time for quality pampering!
I'm going to go eat something while my appetite is back. I think I should set up my back drop and take a few more belly photos . . . since I am huge and this baby could leave me soon, AND I said I would a while ago.
