My husband thinks I'm strange, but the truth is he is just as strange as I am. I think we bring the weirdness out in each other. He makes me laugh so much!! I thought I would share a funny from yesterday.
We went out to the grocery store, which we have never done since being married! I always get the groceries alone, because he talks all the way through about all the junk food we should get because it's on sale. . . anyway . . .
We had just picked up the produce we needed, and were in the very first aisle- International Food. I needed to pick up a couple of things for Chinese night this week. He has the tendency to follow me with the cart and stop in the middle of the aisle (blocking everyone else), and if I back track or move around he will follow every single move. That would be fine, except he ends up in my way or in the way of other shoppers. Sooo . . . I told him to stay put. He moved the cart up next to the shelves (thankfully) and just stood their silently. Meanwhile I was looking for egg roll wraps and talking to him about how I couldn't find him. I was chatting the entire time, and moved up and down the aisle trying to find the things I needed. Finally I walked past him and said "well never mind then, let's get the other things we need." He looked at me and asked, "What are you looking for?" To which I responded "I need egg roll wraps!!" He put on this know-it-all funny face and proclaimed "Well we need to be in the international Goya aisle!!!" I couldn't stop laughing. We were in that aisle for like 5 minutes and he hadn't been listening to a word I was saying, not to mention he didn't notice all the international food around him. Finally he said "This is it isn't it?" . . . Yes, love. Then he went on to tell me we needed to look in the Asian section and even showed it to me . . . It was too funny. I never did ask him where he was all that time . . .
From that point on he was very aware and caught every sale price on anything he might want to buy. He also tried to convince me that since Breyer's was on sale 4 for $10 we needed to get $10 worth of ice cream . . . needless to say I was not convinced and we came home with only one carton of ice cream. I definitely couldn't shop with him every week, but it was humorous!
